Lee County is reinstating the $3 fee for bill-by-plate to match national toll trends.

Said Commissioner Brian Hamman, “A lot of reasons when into that like the safety of our toll-takers, and the safety of our employees but also that there’s a lot less congestion on the bridges now".”

This fee will be used to mail bills to those who use tollways without a transponder. Transponders are available, free of charge, at www.leewayinfo.com and at the customer service center.
